    2. Establish linkages with other Associations and agencies which deal with overseas contract workers

    4. Participate in pre departure orientation program for overseas in collaboration with POEA

    1. Encourage all chapters to intensify membership
    2. Get the percentage of members with the registered nurses in a certain chapter

    4. Coordinate closely with proper agencies concerned with effective operations of review centers both local and foreign.

    1. Initiate, motivate and participate in research projects/studies related to nursing;
    2. Disseminate result of findings, conclusions, recommendations for the improvement of the profession;
    3. Receive, keep and preserve records of research projects conducted by nurses; and
    4. Give due recognition to nurses who have conducted research studies in nursing;
    5. Identify strategies for the utilization of research findings as appropriate.

    1. Identify needs and problems affecting nurses and recommend appropriate measures to be adopted;
    2. Conduct accredit Continuing Education Programs;
    3. Accredit chapters and attend to chapter affairs needs and problems;
    4. Initiate activities relevant to cultural affairs;
    5. Screen nominees for awards and scholarships;
    6. Recommend deserving recipients of awards and scholarships to the Board of Governors.

Her invaluable contribution likewise is exemplified in the field of nursing in particular and in health services and community in general.

    The Anastacia Giron Tupas Award was conceived not only to honor the founder of the 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ and Dean of Philippine Nursing, but to remind us of the uniqueness and mobility of our profession as exemplified by the recipients of the award.

    The Filipino nurse should be courageous and unwavering in the face of danger and dissent.

    Ever searching for ways to elevate and safeguard the Profession and be of better service to the people.

    These qualities, Mrs. Tupas faithfully projected in her work in the early formative and hard days of nursing in the Philippines.

    The late Mrs. Tupas, was a great and brave pioneer in nursing and had set a high standard for nurses of this and future generations to follow.
